    Hello,
I’m looking for the James Gilbert, author of several praise songs in the J’aime L’éternel hymnbook used in many French churches. Any chance that is you?

    • I’m afraid that it is not me. There is a “James M. Gilbert” that wrote a praise song “I Love you with the love of the Lord” that I’m familiar with here in US praise books. Over the past 20 years I’ve never seen any more information about him anywhere. All of the original sacred music I’ve done is instrumental music. I’ve done a large number of arrangements of sacred music for both instruments and voice. But, since I’ve never written any original lyrics, the composer you are looking for is not me. If you ever do run across information about him, I’d like to get in touch with him myself. (Given the lack of information I’ve been able to find over the years, I’m wondering if it may have been a pseudonym)?
